David Taylor was born in Scotland in 1966, today he works in Sweden. After graduating from Konstfack, the largest university college of arts, crafts and design in Sweden, in 1999 David starting his own company and has received many accolades for his work. The prestigious RED DOT award in 2003 and 2006, the Marianne& Sivgard Bernadottes Art Award in 2004 and the Elle Interior Design Award, amongst others. David exhibits and lectures regularly both at home and abroad.
David’s work is represented in several important collections amongst them The Goteborg Röhsska Museum, The National Museum of Sweden and Germanys Design Zentrum in Nordrheim, his work has been described by prominent art/design critic Petter Eklund as: "…both serious and amusing, grafted with the souvenirs sentimentality, with pop culture worthless debris and it disseminates what is important today: reflection, humour and need for something different. "
