Amelie Marei Löllmann, born 1984 in Germany lives and works in Berlin. She grew up with four siblings in a creative and open environment in which self experience was the foreground. From an early age Amelie Marei Loellmann has followed her own curiosity leading her in very different directions and places. Her interest is grounded in the creation and discovery of personal narrative spaces and objects in which reality and fiction fuse and become poetic environments. Her work lies between various diciplines as she is interested in the connection and overlapping of contemporary design, fine art and theater. She obtained a Master of Arts from Weissensee School of Art Berlin in 2013. Since then she has showed her work in very various contexts and places such as Heidelberger Kunstverein, Industriemuseum Chemnitz, Kunsthalle am Hamburger Platz in Berlin and within collaboration projects such as Polyphrenic Creatures at Steirischer Herbst in Graz, 3. Stock in Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin, as a costume designer with Jana Unmüßig in Kunstwerke Berlin and as OU.I in Uferstudios Berlin. For her work she was awarded the Elsa Neuman grant, and was a nominée for the German design award and the Marianne Brandt Award.
