DESIGNER: PIERGIL FOURQUIE
Extimacy, or exposed private life, individuality and personality.
Today we tend to live in places where space is more and more “public”, be it in our loft apartments, or in our open spaces at work. Frontiers tend to disappear, and with them a certain sense of intimacy. Rooms have lost their functional uniqueness and furniture, that we used to place back to the walls, can be difficult to integrate in this new architecture. That’s why it is important to be able to recreate autonomous spaces and to position furniture in the middle of a room, that can still be elegant from all perspectives.
The "Peacock" screen, like a giant fan stuck in small but heavy concrete basis, can be oriented around its axis so as to split the room as we like. Its small footprint makes it convenient to use whatever the room in the house, so as to recreate an intimate space. Hand sewn fabric is available in a wide choice of colors and patterns.
