DESIGNER: MEN ALLEN
This table ignores notions of scale and time. I perceive it rather as an immense architecture, fixed, absolute, an inert sculpture that diffuses the strong and silent emotions of isolated monuments. The perspective evolves as we go around it. It is the work of gentleness and gesture. At first sight, one believes in the use of a stone, with its age and its immobility, but when approaching we perceive traces, the successive strokes of the hand. The use of mineral plaster removes the object from the classical repertoire of materials used for furniture and accentuates its natural, unqualified and unique character.
