Jérôme Abel Seguin is a French artist born and living in Bordeaux. He studied sculpture at the Boulle school and the Beaux-Arts of Paris. His first artistic experiments were assemblages and collages of heterogeneous objects named "Les Boites", as well as to work glass and mirror. He also collaborates in the creation of sets for Air France, Hermes and Louis Vuitton. In 1988, a trip to Indonesia totally changed his creations. He creates a new artistic language. The natural wealth of the Sumbawa Island becomes its raw material. Using wood as main material and source of inspiration, Jérôme Abel Seguin builds, assembles and shapes sculptures, pieces of furniture and bas-reliefs.
